Medical Alert FAQ's

Q. Who am I reaching when I push my help button?

A. Your help signal is received in a matter of moments by our trained Care Specialists who are here to assist you 24/7.

Q. Is the Medical Home Alert service available in my area?

A. Yes – we cover the entire United States – all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Q. Who is the personal medical alert service right for?

A. Our medical alert service is right for seniors, or people of any age who are:

  • living alone, or left alone for long periods and need assistance,
  • with a medical condition that could require immediate medical attention (such as epilepsy, seizures, strokes, heart conditions),
  • recovering from a fall, hip replacement or other major surgery,
  • may have trouble speaking clearly with 911 in the event of an emergency,
  • Want to maintain their independence, be safe, and have peace of mind.

Q. Do I need a phone line to use the system?

A. Yes – you need regular “land-line” phone service for the system. You can use either a standard phone line (sometimes called POTS – Plain Old Telephone Service) or the newer digital VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone services that are available from your cable company or internet provider. Magic Jack and Cellular phones are NOT supported.
